Bob Cook is a Senior Vice President at Site Selection Group where he manages the company's Latin America site selection projects. Cook brings over 30 years of business location experience, spending 21 years working in economic development in the greater El Paso, TX – Juarez, MX region.

In his career, Cook has completed many Mexico location projects that resulted in the creation of over 18,000 jobs south of the border. He leverages this extensive experience to optimize clients' Latin America location strategies by evaluating key project drivers such as labor availability, quality,and cost, business climate, transportation and logistics, safety and security environment, as well as other critical challenges companies face when establishing operations in Latin America.
Cook has provided location services to companies in a variety of industries including Freight Shuttle International, CN Wire Company, REXMED Health, Douglas Steel Supply and other manufacturers and supportservice providers from Mexico and the United States.

Cook was the founding President of the El Paso Regional Economic Development Corporation, a private non-profit corporation charged with attracting business and industry to the El Paso, Texas / Juarez, Mexico region.  Cook and his team led the effort to recruit Electrolux's 1.5 million sq. ft. manufacturing plant to Mexico, as well as other companies including Wistron, GE Medical, Lexmark, Alpine, Bombardier Recreational Products, and Heil Trailer.  In total, Cook completed over 80 projects considering Mexico for business investment.

Cook holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Southern Methodist University. He has published more than 20 articles on topics relating to economic development and international trade, and has served as an expert witness on these matters before numerous state and federal legislative and regulatory bodies. In December 2014, Cook served as master of ceremonies of Mexico's national automotive industry summit, an event attended by more than 600 persons representing OEMs and automotive industry suppliers.
