Site Selection Group located in Dallas, Texas
Michaela-Martin-Square-1121

Michaela Martin is a Director on the Industrial and Economic Development Division of Site Selection Group. Michaela’s project management background and economic development acumen enable her to give focused guidance through the complexities of the site selection process. Michaela will provide project management leadership for a portfolio of industrial site selection projects while regularly interfacing with clients, economic development entities, utility providers, and owners and representatives of real estate.

Prior to joining the team, Michaela was a Senior Business Manager at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership. While there, she worked directly with both domestic and international companies to find ideal locations based on the client’s key project drivers of labor availability, logistics, real estate, business climate, and incentives. Michaela also supported the Commonwealth’s site readiness program and the brownfield’s restoration program to encourage local economic development initiatives. Wrapping up her third academic year as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University, Michaela taught Economic Geography - a focus on a region or local area’s economic competitiveness through the geographic configuration of economic, physical, and social forces as key in determining how a particular city or region will develop.
